Tonight marks my final night serving as a Pelham City Council member.
As I shared with the council this evening, leadership requires more than standing firm: it demands that we listen, collaborate, and seek solutions that unite rather than divide.

It’s easy to dig in on our own views, but the real progress comes when we find common ground. The image below is a simple reminder: both 6 + 3 and 7 + 2 equal 9. There can be more than one path to the right answer. Working together to find it that’s diplomacy.

Seek to understand before seeking to be understood. Pelham is on a great trajectory, and if we continue to work together, we’ll keep moving forward and thriving as a community.

On a bright note, we also closed out the evening celebrating that the Pelham Civic Complex is operating in the black for the first time ever! A great sign of progress for our city.

Tonight, Pastor Jerry McClain delivered an invocation so beautiful that the entire room was moved to awe. His prayers have always carried an eloquence and anointing that seem to touch heaven itself. Pastor Jerry swore me in back in 2020, and five years later, he blessed the entire council in Jesus’ name in 2025.
